Do any of you have the coin plated with gold? I can not find information on this topic. Does anyone know anything about?

all I can say is that this coin was made for the anniversery of the end of the WWII

its silver 720/1000 but coverd with gold
i found 2 similar pieces for sale here

but not much info about the 'golden' pieces and why the where struck and coverd with gold I don't know..Maybe a proof piece?

Nway some1 more knowledgeble will come aorund and help ya out

Gold-plated silver proof. 10 Gulden would be very low face value for a coin that large in gold.

I can't speak for this exact coin but it is a common practice in the public arena. Personally it doesn't appeal to me.

I had a brother-in-law who took a collectible German Luger and had it gold plated. Idiot.
