Quote: I pushed him right around it back toward the mound Nice! I played catch in a recreational soft ball league years ago and really enjoyed making the occasional tag at home, even more so when they tried to take me out.

Quote: and the ball is in the glove. Nice play Bobby! You wear the 'tools of ignorance' very well sir. As a pitcher I never could figure out as to why someone would wanna sit in a squat, and have baseballs thrown at them for 9 innings. Best of luck this weekend.

Anybody that's ever strapped on shin-guards has my respect.
That "face full of junk" beats the heck out of a foul-tip off of a finger-tip...or a back-swing to the back of the head.
Catchers are a different breed.

Bobby, you are very much appreciated here. Please don't let the few whiners discourage you. In my other hobby it is also the very few whining people who ignorantly make it miserable for everyone. The efforts you make for this hobby, and accomplishments you have already scored are far more valuable than being concerned about those who flap their gums before (if ever) engaging their thinking gear. All people here need to realize Its YOUR forum, YOUR choice, YOUR way...and YOU'RE the Man! Enjoy the vacation

Good luck Bobby! I've never had a conversation with you and am here on and off. However, I know how long you work to keep this site as great as it is. I appreciate your efforts. Never understood why people dislike you for your efforts

Quote: Never understood why people dislike you for your efforts Maybe that's because the people who criticize would like to be as great as Bobby, but spend all of their time ridiculing people instead of helping out the hobby.

Wow, I'm just seeing this. I didn't know it's got to this level. And I'm amazed drew hasn't at least taken a break yet. I guess I may have been wrong about him. Maybe it's become a compulsion
Have fun and killer view bobby

In the past I've helped a friend run forums as a moderator and as an advisor. It is a thankless task and most who do it do it for other reasons; mainly the right reasons. Inevitably, there is a vocal minority who love to challenge 'authority' and are self appointed champions. Many will toot their horns for a bit but eventually come around, sometimes on their own but generally under pressure from other core members sending PMs offering discreet advice. But sometimes the advice comes publically and it is humbling. Others who wouldn't respond to 'nudging' were shown the exit and a few, some would try to find a back door to re-enter the forums to continue the mischief. They were sniffed out and shown the door again. In some cases, we wiped out every contributing post, good or bad just to rid ourselves of a problem forum 'guest' (or pest) and eliminate any reminders. It is indeed, unfortunate. So sadly, ebay loses an unpaid service that bolstered confidence in their users and buyers. The field of collectors lose the benefit of a 'watchdog' contributing to the field in more ways than one. This is perhaps, most unfortunate. No one can blame you for stepping away from a thankless task; just how long does anyone want to be doinked on the nose? I see there are a few characters within this forum but thankfully; a handful or so. I'm a patient person but even a few have neared me to contribute a humbling post; but I leave the moderating to the moderators. I will, however, notify the forum of tasteless behavior as should any of the forum members here who wish these forums to remain as excellent as they are. Sorry for the run on, but I can appreciate the sentiment Bobby. It strikes close to home. And with that said, let me close with a Thank You. Hope you have/had a blast on your 'break'!

All the threads about counterfeits, fakes, etc on ebay are becoming tiresome. I think it would have been better not to post about them here but rather just report them to ebay. I agree with Cascade about a compulsion. I don't read those posts but even though they get locked, it just pushes down legit threads out of view. If somebody wants to take the time to report ebay listings, thats great but that doesn't mean all of us have to hear about it.

Huh... I agree that its getting a little "tiresome" seeing all of those fake ebay posts. Not that it's a bad thing that it's being shared but...
