coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 11/15/2015 12:24 pm I've found them before: They stand out like a sore thumb in a batch of circulated cents. If they are very shiny, then I would suspect a coin was gold plated. I did note on the example posted, the rims are copper colored. But with circulation, I could see how that area would thin first. Or am I misunderstanding something? He meant that in an uncirculated roll, you know it has to be brass plated since no one would have been able to alter it outside the mint.
