No questions, just of some minor interest as a slight MAD.

What is the weight of this coin? The rims seem weak even on the reverse? But taking into account the circulation wear/damage on this coin, someone may have worked it over? Also another event during that coins life is use in vending machines that could damage a coin.

Close in weight. .11 grams short. So the coin was probably damaged and a slight MAD.

In 1964 the mint made some experimental cents to get ready for the special mint sets of 1965-1967. I'm sure this is not one of them, but I just noticed the year and wanted to point out that there is something to look for from 1964 cents.

Quote:
These coins show greater details and sharper strikes than the business strikes of the same year, yet do not have the reflective shine of the proof cents.

Those 1964 Experimental SMS Cent have very heavy overdone die polishing on them and a single dot behind his head. Hard to see in the image but they there...

Is that dot below the G and to the right of N?
