If it were not for Sears, these threads might not move along as fast as they do.

Spent $12 in halves at the beer store.

The guy behind me said "Cashing in the half dollar collection"?

I told him no, I get boxes at the bank and look for silver. He said he only has 1 half and he carries it around with him. I told him I carry around silver dollars and commemoratives and pulled out my pocket pieces and showed him. He said he was jealous.

At the last seven weeks Farmers Markets and other expenditures I circulated $1491 in halves. Others noted the idea of half-dollars in Easter Eggs for the kids. Interestingly I was at two Easter activities on Easter weekend for the kids and at one they had put half dollars in some of the eggs and at the other I did so.... I circulate even more $2 bills and am happy to be able to perform these circulation activities.

Spent $8.50 in halves at Taco Bell for lunch, spent $8 on gas in halves, and spent $5 in halves for a tip at the local Mexican restaurant I like to go to.

$93,827.00 to go * corrected total

Thanks to whoever fixed my math, it's not my strong suit!

It depends over the length of time that this survey is done.
If it is done over a very long period, it may be well worth carding in a 2x2, every coin taken out, (including high MS clad examples), and noting the date when it was carded.

Reason for this is that, it may be possible the track the increasing rarity of silver coins still left in circulation over the (long) period in which the survey was taken.
