$93,792 to go

My manager allowed me to trade the half dollars I had on hand with money in my drawer last night, so I gave some half dollars out as change to various people, and I think the total was $3 worth over a few hours.

Spent $5 in halves at Walmart this morning. I had to use the self checkout because the 2 regular lines wear backed up 2 deep with people with full carts. It's 8:45 in the morning. What are you doing redecorating your entire house at Walmart that you have a whole cart full of stuff.

I hate self checkouts.

I've only used a self checkout once, and I ended up spending about five minutes looking for where the change came out.

I like self checkout. Its usually quicker than standing in line behind people with carts loaded with groceries and other stuff, and I don't have wait for someone else to count my coins.

Has anyone ever used a self checkout specifically to get different bills back? What I do is put in some marked bills that I previously entered and then when my total is down to a few cents, put in a 20 dollar bill to get some unmarked bills back to re-enter later on.

Spent $15 in halves on donuts for my main Chase pick up bank on the way to work.

I had to use the self checkout again. What;'s the deal with people restocking their houses at 8:30 Am that they need carts full of stuff clogging up both open check out lines

At a local big box retail store, they usually shutdown the self checkout lines just before midnight. And many times, that is when people have full carts with only 1 line (rarely 2 lines) open.

I made these last night.

This morning I spent them at the bank to pay off my HELOC to finally be 100% debt free. I had to pass the teller a paper buck to get them back to hold as a symbolic keepsake sort of like the framed dollar bill hanging above the cash register in every small business that was the first dollar they ever made.

I'm not counting them since I got them back right away.
