Since my last post, in our Farmers Markets and other expenditures I circulated $632 in halves - most of these are in actually giving change in sales transactions. The time length between postings this time was due to my father dying. Today is his memorial service. He was never a collector type, but liked that I am.
I was asked the question if I see and remove many of the modern era Half Dollars post 2001. Well, the answer is yes I do see some and once I started looking more vigorously to complete an actual half dollar collection then I realized I had let a lot of them pass through our hands without checking them! The term NIFC did also throw me until I looked it up and then I realized that it was what I had in my head all along - "Not intended for circulation" lol.
$92,531.50 to go... In the last year I have circulated over $10,000 in half dollars.
