I'm going to wait a few months until the new 2026 coins show up in circulation and try a different approach at another branch.

Fair enough.

Never return searched rolls to the places from where you got them.
Best to return them to a totally different institution/bank. Why ? Because when you withdraw (lets say a box of nickels) $100. The teller enters that info into your account history. So best to have 2 accounts ei...Chase and B of A. Then if the teller asks "where did you get all these coins from" you can say "oh my grandfather saved all his loose change"

About 10 years ago I was a big penny roll hunter. I had tons of fun with it and kept anything copper, wheat, foreign. I stopped doing it for about a decade but decided to hit up a couple banks recently. Pennies are very hard to come by but I picked up about $50 in nickels. So far I've gone through 7 of the rolls I got and I'm feeling good. 2 of the 7 rolls were customer wrapped and EVERY single nickel was dated 1963 or before. Tons in the 40's and 50's but no War Nickels. Hunting nickels is pretty fun. I think I'll keep anything pre 1970 (except 1964) and anything else interesting I can find. From what I hunted years ago, I almost have a full set so I am also looking for a couple denver minted 2020's years coins. Happy hunting everyone, I forgot how much fun this is!

Wow, great find sich0015!

The other night I came up empty after searching $350 in dimes and $250 in quarters. But then, a mere $30 in nickels turned up these two.

Wow! You guys are pulling some nice coins! Feast or famine here - either new 2025s or very good circulated boxes. Mostly brinks for me lately, but I had a Loomis box yesterday with fewer pre-1960 than my typical hunt. Pulled a few 2009 P and D, a 1983 with a Cud (-09) and this 1939 P DDO FS-101: https://goccf.com/t/487104

Here's the 1983 P Cud:
