Another Panam from Kalikut mint. Farukhi and Kalikut mint town are only less than five Kilometres apart. Faukhi is Farukh and Kalikut is Kozhikkod in Kerala, the Southern most state of India.

Tipu Sultan was killed in 1799. British rule re-established Wodeyar rule following that. Since Krishnaraja Wodeyar, the next Raja to be was minor, Dewan Purnaiya became regent.Krishnaraja Wodeyar took over after ten years.Here is an issue of Dewan Purnaiya.

Obverse depicts figure of Goddess "Chamundi" who put an end to "Mahishasura", an "asura"(demon) by name "Mahisha". Mysore or Mysuru derives its name from "Mahishuru" meaning dwelling place of Mahisha.
