I was emailed this and asked if it was real. I see a lot of fake, old 5 Lire coins and I am not qualified to look at these coins and make a solid determination on the fonts and design.

Maybe I am just a pessimist but love your guys and gals' insight here.

Sharpness/details look good. But this would also be the case with high quality fakes. There isn't too much point in speculating from these pictures. Would need large close-ups to get anywhere. Suffice to say it's either genuine or a high quality fake, not one of those flea-market fakes or other crude copy.

This one seems like a cupro-nickel numismatic forgery (copy), a very common one on italian flea markets.
