Here's a 1964 MACO medal - a historical art medal that commemorates Montana - 75 years of Statehood, 100 years as a Territory. For more on the medal, and to read its original leaflet, see: - 1964 Montana Territory 75th Anniversary

Nice state-related MACo example, commems. Looks like it shipped from the factory yesterday.

Here's a silver and bronze pair struck by MACO in 1967 for the opening of the American Numismatic Association's new headquarters building in Colorado Springs, CO. For more on the medal, see: - 1967 A-N-A Headquarters Building Dedication

This is a 1.5" bronze promo piece with a 2006 copyright stamped on the edge. Three years later, MACO was purchased by Northwest Territorial Mint. I like the art deco influence of the obverse and the depiction of the Janvier Reducing Machine. This image was taken from Medallic Art Company's 1928 25th Anniversary Medal which can be seen here: https://medalblog.wordpress.com/201...consistency/ The reverse reminds me of the national park and national monument medals created in the 1970's.

The 88th release from the Society of Medalists: The Alphabet by sculptor Edward R. Grove. Released in October 1973, the 73mm bronze medal [MACO # 1930-001-088] may be Grove's most well-known work.

Very interesting Alphabet medal, Captain! I like the "alphabets in history" on the obverse, and the reverse seems to depict letters in sizes proportional to their occurrence in written English. Way cool!
