Hey Everyone,
I am very new to penny collecting and came across this 1968D penny today. The last T in Trust kinda looked like a "Las Vegas 7". Saw some other blobs on the coin too.wasn't sure if this was just damage or a rare find.

No I would say PMD(Post Mint Damage).

The reason the motto is touching the rim is that the master hub was wearing out and the next year (1969) they created a new obverse master hub. The previous hub was retired.
