The Drake Family And The First National Bank Of Albia, Iowa

Hi, I'm Drake Mabry and was so happy to see this old post. Both names appear in the post because the Mabry family were close friends of the Drake family. the following Mabry names include the Drake name: Wilson Drake Mabry (me), Richard Drake Mabry (my uncle) and Hamilton Drake Mabry (my grandfather). My uncle was always known by his middle name 'Drake' as I am. My great-grandfather Jefferson Clite Mabry was born in Virginia and left at age 6 (he saw the Confederate soldiers returning) with the family and ended up in Albia. I have his autobiography. The photo of the Albia bank on the corner became Jefferson Clite's law office and then that of his son, Hamilton Drake Mabty. I visited Albia in 2011 with my uncle and the building is still there.
