1984 seems to be a common year for die clashes, which is why your coin has a weak neck and die abrasion lines on the obverse fields. You may see similar die abrasion on the reverse fields, especially under the memorial. If you peek in between the bays of the memorial, you may see die clash marks from Lincoln's chin or the back of his collar. In post die clash die polishing, it seems the clash marks from the Lincoln's collar and the back of his head are the hardest to remove. Or they get overlooked.
