A moment of silence please for this poor Wheat cent I found.

I can make out the first three numbers of the date, "191?".

The remaining visible portions of Abe's hair makes it look like this coin had a high grade before whatever terrible fate befell it.

May it rest in peace in my "Cull coins" jar.
