Franklin s are a fun set. Mine were started as circulated when I was young and then refined to adding the proofs and then a cameo proof set. ya gotta love a cameo proof Franklin.

I've noticed at coin shows lately you could purchase an entire set of Franklin halves. And all in MS grades.

Franklins are fun and a cheap and easy way to start. You can full sets in danscos for a little over spot here on the forums or at shows.

If you want something really pretty, do what muddler said........collect slabbed franklin cameo proofs!!

I have long been thinking of upgrading to a BU set. I am pretty happy with my proofs, and the regular issue set is pretty decent, but I really would like to upgrade to a BU set. I prefer to go raw and get them all at once as I have too many projects! However, I can't seem to find a set online that I am comfortable with based on the pictures/price. I suppose I need to be patient. If anyone knows of any reputable sellers online (including ebay) I'd appreciate the feedback. Maybe I'd be ore apt to pull the trigger.

Then again I might have to go graded just to eliminate the some of the hassle.

For me the hunt is part of the fun and buying an already complete set would rob me of that. However, there is nothing wrong with your choice. My only advice is to be prepared to upgrade a few of them because nothing is perfect.

Good luck with the hunt.
