I don't know if I specialize in any particular area, but I just buy/keep what appeals to me. I really like US proof coins and Eagles. My early collecting began when I got a 1909 Lincoln Cent in change one day during junior high school. That started my fascination with coins. I also like the odd denominations such as 2- and 3- cent pieces and 20-cent pieces. I have a type set of those, but nothing especially valuable. Thanks for the site! But, I went out not long after that and purchased a nice, red '09 VDB. Then, I had to have a flying eagle. Later, an older lady that I helped with some yard work gave me a beautiful shiny-red 1852 braided hair cent. So, my favorite coins have become cents...
