About the round 8 coin: I have a theory that the value of a coin should be divided by the distance it's from home to get an impression of how much you probably pay for it. I've stated a few times that American coins are 'just' world coins here and that prices are significantly lower than in the US for such coins. I actually have contact with a coin dealer who sells me half dollars at melt or just over melt as there's just no demand here for these coins. As such, I managed to obtain about 20 different types of classic half dollars at melt, or about $12 dollar max. Some in UNC condition, most in AU or XF. If you come there for Norwegian coins on the other hand... be prepared to empty your wallet.
