Hello all! Long time forum stalker first time posting. Today I came across a curious 1971-S penny in a roll. It looks pretty rough but a lot of the mess is clashing it seems.

I was hoping I could get some thoughts on the coins size and weight any thoughts really. It could just be a damaged coin but it is off on weight pretty far. Error or damaged is the question either way still a nifty coin.

The specs for the penny are:

Weight: 2.73g

Thickness: 1.33mm

Diameter: 18.78mm

If you want pictures of any part of the coin let me know and I will try my best. Here is one of both sides and the edge.

That poor coin looks like it fell into a gearbox for a few hours.

Wow, that's a beat up coin! Looks like it was dropped in a car battery.

Thanks all that is what I figured it was worthless but just had to check since the weight was so far off. Still searching for a nice coin in circulation =D.
