Nice coin. Used to have a local Italian restaurant that would sell me a large pepperoni pizza for a silver 500 lire. Made us both happy.

Great story Arkle, the irony would be a bimetallic 500 Lire of the 1980s probably would have not even got you a slice of pizza!
And again I got them at a junk silver price - its a gift that keeps on giving.
