I have yet to acquire a nice Brazil crown worthy of showing off here. My grail has been the 1900 4000 Reis that I have bid on and lost far too many times to count :( Since we're representing Japanese Yen, here is a recent acquisition of a beautiful, blast white, obnoxiously lustrous Yen that wasn't getting the love it deserved. I was more than happy to scoop it up :) 1914 Yen (Year 3) As promised, two of my unicorns have arrived last week. I have been chasing these for quite a while. Also representing Japan, an 1877 Japanese Trade dollar (Year 10) - a better year of the series. Moving back to Europe - Danzig 1923 5 Gulden in Proof Here are a few of my other recent pickups. San Marino 1898 5 Lire - Beautifully lustrous coin Lucca 1807 5 Franchi The ever elusive Puerto Rico 1895 Peso - unusually clean for an AU55 That wraps up my recent buys. If you recall, a month or so ago I was the NYINC and there I submitted several coins for grading. Here are some of them. 1782 Russian Rouble 1747 W Denmark Krone 1915 Austrian 4 Ducats - Restrike - not really a crown by weight but certainly crown sized :) Besides how often do we see gold here? 1819 Denmark Speciedaler RRR - An extremely rare type. As per coinfactswiki - "The last Danish coin containing the Norwegian lion in the coat of arms. Denmark lost its Norwegian territory to Sweden in 1814, and by rights should not have left Norway in its coat of arms. Sweden protested this coin's design, and it was recalled.
