This one's not very exotic, which may be why we haven't seen one in this thread so far -- United States -- 1 dollar, 1802/1 (ANACS EF40):

Some superb pieces. Zohar - just wow. As usual, not enough words available to describe. Especially on that last 1/2 thaler - what a magnificent beauty. Pepa - great dollars! Is the Seated dollar a details coin? Beautiful state of preservation otherwise. I really like the black & white type picture, just really brings out the silver! 1c5d - good to see posting again, been a while! Great philipsdaalder. Great condition for a 450 year old coin :) Paul - at 384 EUR that coin seems like a great price. Not many sales in the archives of this type. I've seen very poorly kept pieces hammer at 1500EUR so you seem to have gotten a bargain. Ive been busy with work so it's awesome to hop in periodically and see all these great pieces being posted here. Keep 'em coming folks!

Quote:Is the Seated dollar a details coin? PCGS just has it as PR62 -- apparently they didn't notice the hairlines/harsh cleaning. Quote: I really like the black & white type picture, just really brings out the silver! The original pic is old, with bad white balance: Here's a scan with better white balance: I must have gotten rid of the brown cast in Photoshop, resulting in the gray image.

This thread wouldn't be complete without one of these -- perhaps the best-known crown-sized coin of them all: United States -- 1 dollar, 1885-O:

Some top pieces I have to say!Congrats ! cableguy815 In case I want to sell it i'll probably find someone to pay me what I've paid for it.The lowest price I could find is for a mount removed piece, lower grade for 500euros and a plugged one for 600euros,both before premium. The other few pieces went from 1500 to 2700 in vf.There's only one known in EF as far as I know and though it's very rare I could identify to variants for it!Hopefully some toning will 'decide' to interact with my coin pretty soon!
