I did a little experiment and I am saying 280-350 pounds, in round numbers. Since I have to pick a number, let me say 310 pounds.

If that is a normal sized wheel barrow and you used it to move the bucket - even trying to move 100 pounds with it would be hard to do - I'll go 80 pounds

Bushel-Of-Pennies-/-OK-You-Farmer-Coin-Collectors

130 lbs is the correct answer to this bushel pail. I went on the (124) Not Allowed - Auto-Removed site and today copper is worth #3.1327/lb US$ today. When you do the math at
130 lbs X #3.1327/lb of copper = $407.25 US[$500.00 Can] per
bushel.
- if I would have crowned filled the pail it would of weighed 135 lbs.
A few of you hit the nail on the head on this one.

Are you sure that's a bushel pail?

What is the volume of that pail?
A bushel should have 35 liters by volume. 35 liters of water weigh 77 pounds.

And 9.3 gallons. That pail doesn't even look as big as a 5 gal. bucket. Another interesting note:

A bushel is about 1.24 cubic feet and a cubic foot of copper weighs 559 lbs.
