I was left little choice but to cheer for the Argo's while Ottawa didn't field a team. Today they need to step up and do the East proud. So I found this for inspiration. 1 of only 5 worn at the 100th Cup. Argo's won, and it was fun. Hope they show up ready to win today.   "We are poor little lambs...who have lost our way...Baa...Baa...Baa"

I'm a bomber fan through and through so I can't say I would be cheering for the Riders.. but they were looking good as of late and thought they may have a shot as the cross over champs.
I'm still shaking my head at the call from Edmonton though... c'mon MAN! what were you thinking #youonlyhadonejobcoach!

Calgary will be tough, but it is the CFL, and anything can happen, and usually does. Go Argo's. Hope it's a good game.

I'll be in the stands cheering for the referees. In the CFL, they need all the help they can get. Maybe I should take some Grey Cup loonies and sprinkle them into the concessions change. |

CC.Ottawa- Wish the Redblacks were back myself. Wish I had seats too.  This rant is not for you.  Lets give the ref's a break. I have worn the stripes for coming up 30 years. It's so rewarding in some ways, yet frustrating in others. Good officials breed good football! My association has become so much better by simply being in the proper spot to make the call. Basics. Footwork. Coach's feedback confirms this. If asked , "how many teams on a football field?", most answers would be 2. There is 3! The third team has a sign language flying all game, telling each other what's up for the next play, counting players, counting players on the line,what # are the ends, who is breaking with the receivers, did he move early or not get set, was that a lateral or a forward pass, and most important, the position of the ball when the knee hits the ground. All in one play! Not so easy now is it. Yes I make calls that are argued, but that is how I saw it, and you won't change my mind. I will always keep the spirit of the game and the kids first. They do the best possible. In a replay era, it's hard to not get called on what you didn't see because you were watching something else that was important. If you don't see it, you CAN'T call it, even if it happened! I-YI-YI. I love reffin' so much I save vacation time for it. It's worth it. Even when Mr. Richard Head is in the crowd.  Go Argo's! P.S. set up shop and sell the loonies for $5.00 each. Easy sell there. In 2x2 would go like hotcakes. "We are poor little lambs...who have lost our way...Baa...Baa...Baa"

I can honestly say this year before and especially after the first 4 weeks I said to my friends frequently and often the west will win the cup. In my humble opinion BLM is one of the best quarterbacks in this league this year I don't think he managed to reach his full potential but he'll be in the HOF for sure! I could rant all day about football .... but if you want to do a friendly wager send me a PM I have a pretty good idea that would be a win win win situation. |

Called out Shaft... ended up getting a side bet with loonielewy... I'll take it  BTW I totally agree on your point... as a coach I always tell my athletes the only 3 things you can ever say to the ref are "yes sir" "no sir" and "thank you sir"... everything else is my job as the coach. Without the refs you don't have a game! Seriously looking forward to this weekend to watch the game with some friends ... hope you all have as much fun as I do..whatever you're doing this weekend |
