Rare 1884-S Morgan Dollar Bad Lighting Or Dull Luster? What Would You Grade

SsuperDdave Moderator United States 23522 Posts	Posted 11/08/2017 11:59 am Don't forget, we're discussing a seller whose real-world numismatic skills are unquestioned - he was a finalist in the PCGS World Series of Grading. He knows his stuff. Therefore, if this coin is offered raw, it would not achieve a grade in a slab justifying the cost, when a straight AU55 would justify it. Low XF (note the cotton bolls are worn smooth) and almost certainly cleaned. Very little chance that surfaces appearing so homogeneous in a scan are original. This seller is dangerous.
