I´m trying to learn how to grade a coin.
Even with my visual impairment problems I´m pushing hard trying to begin evaluating coins.
Please consider the following coin, pictured below:
1724 Brazil MMMM gold coin.
Obverse: Some minimal wear and scratches at the cross.
Reverse: Clear signs of wear at the center, specially on the shield, and at the right of shield, after the five flowers, a sign of scratching (maybe a cleaning process). Some yellow spots on points, which I don´t know what it means. At least for me no sign of mounting. Minimal bumps on the rim.
As I don´t have rim photos, I would say that this coin is a VF one.
What do you think about my evaluation?
