paralyse Bedrock of the Community United States 12057 Posts	Posted 04/19/2018 8:13 pm Rick Snow showed me some of his early patterns at the recent ANA show in Irving, including this variety (in PR55 PCGS holder) and an 1858-dated IHC, along with something I've never seen (an 1871 or 1873? struck in the copper-nickel alloy used from 1859 to 1864.) It gives new meaning to "holding history in your hands." This is a coin that he would probably be interested in looking at and he would almost certainly be able to authenticate it. Jaobler Pillar of the Community United States 6398 Posts	Posted 04/21/2018 5:44 pm It looks real but authentication is mandatory. ANACS might be an OK choice, certainly cheaper than PCGS or NGC. Interesting and historic coin and $600-$800 seems a reasonable value estimate. However, I expect most potential buyers would be willing to pay more to get a proof without wear.
