The Swedish 10 Krone are just about identical to the $2 coin. I was thinking of trying one in a vending machine, but I don't have a spare.

@x2an - I actually thought it had $0 face value as I assumed Sweden was using the Euro, which I just googled this morning and discovered they are still using the Kroner. I was pleasantly surprised because I didn't have any 10 Kroner coins in my collection and scoring one in a $2 bag was cheaper than getting one posted from Sweden to Australia.

Well they're a closer fit than the 3 kiwi dollar coins I recently received in a bag of Aus $1 coins.

Nah, we never got around to that. There was a referendum a while back where support was at its highest but it never went through. While it might be a cheap way to get one in circulation, it is perhaps not the most reliable. Not easy to get a date set that way Shipping a letter with one in it would be 24 kr or $3.70

Just noodled 200 of 2 dollars and 400 of dollars. A few dollar finds, donations, 2019 U, 2006 Melb Comm games, but the find which surprised me was a roll full of 2021 two dollar coins. I have never found a roll of new coins before. Quite exciting

Nice find Karloning. I'll have to keep an eye out for new rolls. Still haven't seen any 2020 50c or $1 yet though.

Must have been a bit lucky or something.
A big batch of 2021 $2 2020 $2 WWII commemorative 2011 $2
2014 $1 MOR X 2
2019 JC and IRB 50 cents X 3 each (!) 1985 and 1993 50 cents
Oddly enough, I normally don't see a lot of 2000 $1 but I found 8 in one hit. Maybe someone has found the fabled mule and threw the rest of the finds back into circulation.

I saw some 2021 $2 coins on Facebook the other day too so they're clearly out and about.

Amazing here in NZ, our 2020 coins are not even out and about yet!

Have been marking my 2000 $1 coins and 1966 20c pieces just to see if any come back to me via Armaguard.

You're looking in the wrong place PT. They'll turn up in Australian change before NZ.
