Value is part of the hobby but having coins you like and enjoy is a much bigger part to me. You can have a coin worth 10,000$, but if you don't like it you might as well just sell it and get something you do like lol. I'd rather have a coin worth 2$ that I enjoy then one worth hundreds that will just sit around and not bring any joy.

I just got my 1st 2021 loon in change on Friday. Saw it go into the tellers hand and started  . Straight into the shirt pocket. Another hole filled.  I had to bump up the size of the crop on this one just to make it big enough to post. It's still dark out, so the living room lamp is providing the lighting.

 Jakesr4108, to CCF. As Don stated, you have a "toonie". A "loonie" is the Canadian $1 coin since 1987. The reverse normally has a swimming loon, unlike the set above, it is a birthday "loonie". They flood the market with different designs yearly.  .
