Value is part of the hobby but having coins you like and enjoy is a much bigger part to me. You can have a coin worth 10,000$, but if you don't like it you might as well just sell it and get something you do like lol. I'd rather have a coin worth 2$ that I enjoy then one worth hundreds that will just sit around and not bring any joy.

I just got my 1st 2021 loon in change on Friday. Saw it go into the tellers hand and started . Straight into the shirt pocket. Another hole filled.

As Don stated, you have a "toonie". A "loonie" is the Canadian $1 coin since 1987. The reverse normally has a swimming loon, unlike the set above, it is a birthday "loonie". They flood the market with different designs yearly. .
