Mrzllewellyn Pillar of the Community United States 1901 Posts	Posted 08/15/2018 8:43 pm The 42 above that 43 rim to rim I discovered I also have numerous laminations and rpms and doubled dies in War Nickels I just really like them and the slabbed ms66 I just don't have a use for I like the oddball stuff I guess. I also have a 1943 s that has a bisecting rim to rim but the the bottom crack from 5 to the rim is to faint jc didn't want to list it. But yeah just really enjoy my variety and error silver nickels I guess you can say. Report this Post to the Staff

I am no metallurgist, but I assume it is because the silver/copper/manganese alloy is harder than the copper/nickel alloy.
