They are pretty weakly struck

That is interesting. Have you seen the steps on mine above? A couple of step lines almost look complete. And yours is a 66, hmmmm.

Yup but it's sharp looking. Got great eye appeal I guess that's why I graded high.

I understand I truly just wanted the crack. Wasn't even paying attention to steps. Never hurts to ask is what my mother always told me when I was growing up. Worst thing they can say is no.

Can I ask why? Do you just like the errors or die crack anomalies?

The 42 above that 43 rim to rim I discovered I also have numerous laminations and rpms and doubled dies in War Nickels I just really like them and the slabbed ms66 I just don't have a use for I like the oddball stuff I guess. I also have a 1943 s that has a bisecting rim to rim but the the bottom crack from 5 to the rim is to faint jc didn't want to list it. But yeah just really enjoy my variety and error silver nickels I guess you can say.

They are a special bunch among Jeffersons. I would probably be happy only collecting War Nickel varieties/errors. Uh-oh...that thought makes too much sense!

Not bad looking, I would have guessed 64 myself before I saw TPG. Die cracks seem to me more common on these War Nickels, however.

They are, no doubt. I am no metallurgist, but I assume it is because the silver/copper/manganese alloy is harder than the copper/nickel alloy.

Hey, If it's feasible why don't one of you guys start a War Nickel variety/error thread. Although, there might already be one out here somewhere. I haven't checked.
