A nice coin. A shame it has that obverse damage.

Nice coin - is that damage or a dramatic strike-through? I'm not seeing any corresponding damage on the reverse (It this coin a medal turn or a coin turn?)
I do suppose that it could have been done with a small Dremel tool.

Any incite on this, Dorado?

For the moment ...I do not have any clear idea about the damage .
I bought this coin from Germany ...(waiting to arrive) to have clear conclusions.

As an example (1951-1948)

Appears to be a strike through rather than damage due to lack of REV side indication of impact. However, there does seem to be a tiny nick in the rim at the bottom of the area in question.

Three Hungarian coins from 1961: a 50 Forint commemorating Ferenc Liszt (1811-1886), a 50 Forint commemorating Bela Bartók (1881-1945), and a 50 Forint commemorating Zoltan Kodaly (1882-1967).
