The coin is heavily worn, it looks like the D is present, but wanted to get some other opinions

The area would be raised if it were a mint mark. Any contact if it were a zinc coin would expose the gray zinc planchet. Also it is way to small to be a Denver mint mark.

It is raised. But it does weigh 3.1 grams so it's not zinc

Doesn't really matter if D or not - it is a Large Date cent and only worth face value - 1¢
