Love to hear opinions on grade and what the weirdness is... die crack? It looks like a gouge out of the coin, but the mark you can see is flat and the N and T are on top as if it wasn't there.

Looks like a delamination that happened before the strike

Def a planchet flaw. As you said, the letters are impressed over the flaw.

I'd venture VG10. I don't think the braid is detailed enough to get a F12.

Nice coin.
