i have recognized an issue, the same sort of issue I noticed back in 2019.

after the first two gold coins were acquired via $treet $timulu$, I noticed how long it took to find & save enough for those purchases: roughly 3-5 months. so, to solve that issue in 2019 I switched to silver. I could find & save & acquire silver faster than gold, and I did that for a while. at some point I switched back to gold. then I started acquiring both at the same time, but it took many months to do. I don't like having to wait that long. dollars are depreciating faster than I can find them and use them.

but now things are very different, post-covid. with silver up (way up) into the $70-$80 range, coupled with diminished finds, it takes 3-5 months to find & save for just one ounce of silver. metals prices are flying away from the $treet $timulu$' ability to acquire them. I'm still finding, but not nearly as much as I used to. so I think I'm going to stop pursuing the metals eventually.

i say eventually because I really want to achieve those milestones first. my grand running total-- money I've picked off the streets since 2018-- is now over $4,800. the stash that I built up with that money includes 22 ounces of silver. when I hit the $5K-mark and acquire 2 more ounces of silver i'll make the switch. i'll start using the money to add food plants to my garden. it has to be food, not decoration. I have to make that (free) money go as far as possible. I think I did the best I could in building up the stash with appreciable assets using the street finds. the value of the stash has appreciated greatly and stands to appreciate even more.

that's everything as I acquired it all, cycles 1 through 19. cycle 20 is nearing completion. there will be at least one more cycle for metals, maybe two. it's not a lot, but it's something. every cent found went into building that up, no hookers & blow, no chips & pretzels... just metals.

that's the plan.

on the last night of the month of april I picked a well-scattered $1.06, including eight dimes, five of which were single picks, the last three were from one stop... also picked one zincoln & one quarter... but eight dimes; eight dimes (or more) on one night used to be pretty normal, now it's a rarity... it's probably been many months since I last picked eight (or more) dimes on one night... so I found $1 or more on just three nights in april. that's way below average. well, whatever, it's still adding up over time... I just twisted a roll of quarters & a roll of dimes, cycle 20 sits at $124. the grand running total just hit $4,850, meaning I need another $150 to achieve that $5K-mark.

Nice finds, MrPink! Yeah, $10 would have been a better find for me also, as I don't partake of any inebriants. It's my fantasy to find a briefcase of Benjamins on the beach, but with my luck I would get a duffel bag of "imported goods".
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures
