1979 -D Washington Quarter Gold Toning?

I've never seen a gold toned quarter before, I thought it was missing clad... but from what I've gathered, that usually is darker in color... What do you guys think? Report this Post to the Staff

I'd say either painted or plated--doesn't really matter because this coin is a spender. I see a broken post on the mintmark, but nothing else to suggest that this coin is 2x2 worthy.
