spru Bedrock of the Community United States 12477 Posts	Posted 02/10/2019 04:10 am Roller lines are essentially stains embedded into the coin metal by dirty rollers used to create the proper thickness coin stock. A "Woody" is an alloy mixing issue and generally does not create fine lines like that and is more common on earlier years.
