My Grand Daughter thinks they are fantastic. I know she will take some to school to show everyone.

Carl, do you sell/trade the silver or just stack it?

OK, so I'm still curious. You said there were S mint marks in the lot. Proofs or silver blue Ikes?

Maybe they are just thrilled to receive a huge coin they've never seen before.
Exactly how my collecting career began.

I never sell coins. Don't trade any either. I lately just give lots of them to my Grand Daughter. I'm a collector of coins and have nothing to do with selling or trading or using places like ebay. To old to care about making a profit of my hobby. It's just a hobby to me.

100% of my collection goes to my son whether he wants it or not.

With that in mind, my job, besides amassing more for the collection, is to 1. educate my son about numismatics and hope he picks it up and 2) assuming he doesn't care for my collections, make it as easy as possible for him to liquidate responsibly.
