I need community's tremendous help with this unrecorded Straits Settlements 1884 MULE cent with a British Honduras Obverse.I can't find any infos nor sold archives anywhere. Anyone can shed some lights will be very much appreciated.I need published articles on this piece or any mentioned I enclosed 4 photos for your views. The first two photos is MULE Obverse. Second is normal issued. Thanks.
What are the differences between the obverses? The pictures aren't big enough to see any major differences (alignment of design looks the same at a glance).
This isn't going to clarify that it is a mule because the sample of coins is so small. But so far all SS one cents I have seen have two strands of hair behind the ear curling down wards. The honduras obverse doesn't it has one long strand curling up.The only thing that is conclusive and pretty obvious there are different obverses at play here and that the possible mule coin has all the traits of a Honduras obverse than a SS obverse. It could just be a case of different varieties rather than a mule but the possibility of a mule is more than possible. British and commonwealth coinage are awash with mules of one type or another.
