When I first looked at this cent I thought it was just damaged, but after a second look it looks like a die clash to me. Any help is appreciated. jmewrites

Looks like it was also cut to make it fold over. You can see the coin cuts on that area. PSD + small lamination that was altered.

Does that mean the second ear was PSD and altered?

I feel there was a lamination, but a cut was applied and the metal was moved a bit.
