Info On A 1968 Penny With Square Edge.

A shiny coin doesn't make it a proof coin. A proof coin is struck as a proof coin. It is a process of striking that creates a proof coin. Special dies are used and struck twice (or more on some denominations). So it's not a proof coin. While fully squared off edges all the way around on a business strike are unusual, they are not unknown. A fully squared off edge on just part of the circumference is not unusual.
