Finally found my first 1982 LMC small date, although it is not a rare 1982 D Small Date I am still fairly happy with it considering I'm from Canada where small cents are fazed out.

It is copper plated zinc I am pretty sure, I did the drop test and was more of a thud and not a ping like copper cents, I have not weighed it yet.

It is a small date, and looks to be copper although weighing it would be much more efficient. The scratches don't look to reveal any underlying zinc, I don't see any zinc rot or plating bubbles either.

Thank you guys, I weighed it against 3 other 1982 Large Dates and they all came back 3 grams on my digital scale and the same on my old hanging scale. I need to update my scale to a better digital one that can weigh the exact weight before I can confirm it is copper though as the one I have only weighs grams and ounces example: a 1982 Copper Cent on a regular scale weighs 3.11 grams, on mine it will weigh 3 grams even, same with a coin that would weigh 2.5g it would again measure it as 3 even, so my digital scale will not do the job for this one and I will have to pick one up this weekend to find out.
