Wow, I would've never guessed..! But the rim doesn't really seem affected; it's mostly the "inner part" where the letters are printed...

Should I test that theory with my dryer to see how it works? Hahah

Not a Dryer Coin. Looks like it has been tumbled (like in a rock tumbler)...
