It looks like a normal quarter for that year. It does show MD. What is it that you're seeing?

All I see is a small die crack. Other than that everything
else looks normal for a coin it's s age.

IMO the die crack is the give-away.
There's MD from a late die state.
At least it's worth bullion value or save it as "interesting".

I do see what appear to be die cracks on the obverse. Interesting coin.
