VF-30/35 ,sure does look like a misplaced O mint mark .

I think it makes XF40. Surfaces appear original with medium dark toning. Nice example.
Several years of Barber quarters are found with mintmark in two positions: either far right or more centered under the eagle's tail. This is obviously a far-right variety.

the overall sharpness of the coin imo puts it into the XF scale. full outline on LIBERTY, sharpness of the ribbon, leaf separation & star centers all point to XF. on the reverse the letters are sharp and the center feather has full separation. I think the obverse is pushing XF45 reverse XF40

Thank you all-in one of my coin books for 1894-o the mid grades far right mm has more value and the ms grades the centered mm has higher values(although throughout grades the far right or centered mm values are pretty close)
