However, rather than being a mint error, it is damage that occurred after the coin was struck. He is also talking about the "bulge" in the 1st 2-3 columns and above the roof line on the left... It is not a clash... but a dent in die? Not sure what to call it... Basically I feel the dies were not tempered correctly and this happened on several dies that year. Who ever must have messed up then, didn't let it happen again.
