What does the reeds look like on that area of the coin that has the appearance of a collar clash or forced collar. I see weakness on the obverse devices on United States. Did this come in a mixed roll/circulation find? Or was this in a OBW (Original Bank Wrapped) roll? The reason I ask is because if it was in a bank roll, there may only be one in the roll and that would be a damaged coin or a forced collar. Or of there were several, then it might be a die issue. Well if this is an error coin (Forced collar) or a damaged coin, you may have the only one. Check in your area to see if more of these are out there. If this is a collar clash, then you could find more of these in the wild in your area.

Obverse weakness is a good sign right? The edge looks kinda normal to me but what do I know

Looks like a Collar Clash to me.

Thanks errors&varieties. I didn't know about clashes until last year. My interest peaked when I read about the 1999 mule clash that matched a coin I hopefully still have. Now I know what to look for when before I didn't

And yes coop I will keep my eyes wide open looking for more. Also didn't know collar clashes were a variety like die clashes

Was weight mentioned? Try stacking three quarters up with this one in the middle. That way I can see thicknesses of the coins. Also check to see if the reeds are full or if you have a partial collar issue on your coin? Just trying to see what could have happened on the rim.

The coin was struck by a slightly misaligned hammer (reverse) die suffering from collar clash.
Error coin writer and researcher.
