Wallet Valued Member Sweden 454 Posts	Posted 04/09/2020 04:52 am Hi, Can anyone help with this coin? Seams to be a Byzantine coin strucked in Carthage (CRT). I have read they could be overstrucked. Maybe this is. Age? Ruler? Weigth 4.65 gram. Diameter 18-21 mm. Report this Post to the Staff

Kamnaskires Pillar of the Community United States 7066 Posts	Posted 04/09/2020 10:02 am With the CRTS (there's probably an "S") in exergue, in combination with the two Xs above the exergual line, I would imagine that the overstrike is a half follis/20 nummi of Constans II (641-668) from Carthage. january1may Pillar of the Community Russian Federation 5181 Posts	Posted 04/09/2020 10:08 am I'm not 100% sure, but I don't recall Byzantine coins from Carthage ever using a CRT mintmark (as opposed to CAR or KAR or something like that).
