1975 Lincoln Wheat cent MONSTER TONER!; Will it grade "Details Scratched"?

I'm sure it will. I love this coin regardless. And I will probably send it in regardless. Either way, I'd love any opinions!

Yes, almost certainly a "details" coin.

Toning looks artificial too. I wouldn't send this one in.

Its not a Wheat cent.

It will probably also grade Altered Color.
Rest in Peace

I like the toning, but the light overall wear, the scratch, and the 'corrosion' spots/pits on the obverse rim (3 o'clock) and reverse E on ONE will keep the coin from achieving a top-end grade.

If you send it in, let us know what comes back.

I believe the scratch is bad enough for a details grade. In the absence of better pictures, the color may also not be market acceptable. It's a pretty cool cool coin but not worth sending in for any reason.

I agree with the upthread comments that this is a detail coin and the toning looks artificial. The scratch on Lincoln's vest and the area adjacent to the obverse rim at about 3 o'clock might also be problems.

I just don't see any upside to submission here. Even a straight grade would either be AU-58 or possibly be MS-62, and neither would produce any value for the coin. If the toning is genuine, the coin doesn't need a slab. If the toning is artificial, a slab won't help.

This guy came out of a Dansco album along with some other wild monsters that have already graded, MS and Problem-Free. This one just happened to have the craziest toning, I just didn't send it in because of the scratch.
