New to the forum so please correct me if I am not in the correct spot. I picked up an 1883 Uncirculated Liberty nickel today and was curious if I should have it graded. If so, what is the process for doing so?

Once we see images of the coin, someone should be able to help with your question.

To CCF , This Nickel doesn't look uncirculated to me .
I'll give it AU-55-58 . No luster and front of hair is worn . Some die breaks on reverse . Do not send it in .

Can't tell for sure if it is S or not, if it is it is lower end MS, which means you have about a $30 coin that will cost you about $35 to have graded.

As you can see by the replies, not worth sending in to have it slabbed.
