Great commemorative, Hondo. Did the US do something for this bicentennial?
Edit to add: looks like the US Mint struck a commemorative nickel in 2004 "Westward Journey - Bicentenary of the Louisiana Purchase (1803-2003)".
Not sure why they waited one year for this...

Our illustrious Congress probably had something to do with that.

A new acquisition, commemorating Pau Casals (1876-1973), a Catalan cellist, composer, and conductor, best known for the recordings he made of the Cello Suites by Bach.

Another coin from Spain, this time commemorating Frederic Mompou (1893-1987) a Catalan composer. He is best known for his relatively short, improvisatory pieces, influenced by French impressionists such as Erik Satie and Gabriel Faure.
